Skin rejuvenation is about putting back in what we lose over time. The collagen in our skin becomes less tight, we lose moisture and elasticity. There are a range of serums that can be bought to help, however they are not able to target the deeper layers of our skin. This has lead to the development of multiple skin revenjuation agents delivered with dermabrasion or dermaneedling.
Neofound – let’s dive in deeper
Neofound is a product designed by plastic surgeon Dr Roberto Amore’s to promote biostimulation. It can be delivered with microneedles to the deeper layers of the skin, making it a more powerful and potent treatment than most of the serums and cream available on the market.
We use it by administering neofound into 5 points (known as BAPS) on each side of the face via a small syringe into the deeper layer of skin. In addition to working on the BAPS we can also target specific areas of concern. This can be lines of the mid-face and chin, soft wrinkles on the forehead, or even lines on the neck and hands. Neofound give us a tool to help improve the appearance of the skin. It can reduce areas of hyperpigmentation, redness or blotchiness.
What is it?
Acteylcysteine
Acteylcysteine is an antioxidant, which means it helps to slow down the breakdown of collagen
Resveratrol
Resveratrol helps to promote collagen production. In addition, it’s a more powerful antioxidant action than vitamin C and vitamin E, and anti-inflammatory action.
Niacinamide
Very common enzyme that is found in cream and serums. It is used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, increases collagen production and reduced elastois (skin sagging). It also increases the lipid and protein content of the skin, leading to less water loss. Niacinamide has also been shown to reducing yellowing, hyperpigmentation, redness and blotchiness.
Amino acids
Our best friends in the facial rejuvenation world. Neofound contains Glycine – Proline and Arginine. These are all required for building of collagen and other blood vessels.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in the body between our cells and fills the gaps. It binds to specific receptors, which helps to nourish aged skin. It also works as a dermal scaffold while new collagen is being developed.
Acetyl Hexapeptide
This works similarly to botulinum toxin, however it is not as potent and doesn’t bind as long. This ensures the effects are always subtle and very natural looking.
