White Fillings

Modern white fillings materials are strong enough to be used throughout the mouth. They blend in to natural tooth colour and can even be adjusted to look just like natural teeth. They are the first choice for most people.

Composite fillings are bonded (glued) into the teeth and slowly worked and crafted to resemble the rest of the tooth structure. They are then shaped and polished to leave a perfect restoration that usually can’t be seen. As the material is slightly softer than natural tooth structure, if any trauma occurs the filling is likely to fracture rather than the tooth, providing extra protection.

White fillings can also be used to mask some dark areas, black triangles or gaps between teeth. Making them a very versatile option. We also use composite when doing aligners or braces. It’s fair to say composite has become one of a dentist’s best friends!!
